Laser Vein Treatment

Spider veins bother millions of people.  In the past only surgical or other invasive procedures could help reduce their unsightly appearance.  Today, using advanced laser technology we can offer an effective treatment for facial and spider veins.  HOW DOES THE LASER HELP? The laser emits a beam of light, which passes through the skin.  The laser energy “selectively” coagulates the problem veins while leaving the surrounding skin unaffected.  After the treatment, the vein naturally disappears. WHAT CAUSES FACIAL AND SPIDER VEINS? Telangiectasias, or spider veins are red, bluish or purple veins that result from sun exposure, use of oral contraception, hormone therapy, the aging process or heredity.

HOW MANY TREATMENTS ARE NECESSARY? Results can take place in just a single treatment. Some veins that are larger or deeper may only lighten after one treatment and you may need one or two more treatments. WHAT IS THE RECOVERY TIME? This treatment is non-invasive and takes anywhere from 20 – 45 minutes depending on your situation.  After your treatment there is no down time. IS IT PAINFUL? Depending on the size and depth of the veins some discomfort can be had.  We recommend the use of a topical anesthetic, which numbs the skin and makes your treatment more comfortable.
