Laser Hair Removal

HOW DOES THE LASER WORK? The laser emits an invisible beam of light energy that passes through the skin and is absorbed by the hair follicle.  The energy is transformed into heat, which disables the hair follicle and impairs further hair growth. IS LASER HAIR REMOVAL FOR ME? Anyone who currently shaves, waxes, tweezes, uses depilatories or any other method of hair removal is a good candidate.  The best results occur in clients who have dark hair.  Other factors can influence your overall effectiveness and will be evaluated during your consultation.

HOW MANY TREATMENTS ARE NECESSARY? Hair grows in cycles.  The laser will only be affective on hairs that are in the early-growth phase.  Since not all of our hair is in this stage at any one time it will take an average of five treatments. However, as you go through your treatment cycle you will notice less and less hair returning and the hair that does return is finer and softer. WHEN DO I SEE RESULTS? Immediately after your treatment your skin will feel silky smooth.  Within the first three weeks that follow the hair will push up through the skin and fall out.  Then you will experience a hair free period of approximately 4 – 6 weeks after which your hair will begin to return. At this time you will notice a reduction in the amount that returns as well as the texture getting finer. DOES IT HURT? No two people have the same experience.  Some clients experience a tingling sensation while others find some discomfort associated with their treatments.
